Next Friday is going to be a banner day. It’s the day of the long-awaited Royal Wedding and the Community Associations Institute (“CAI”) Spring Showcase! While it’s certainly a day to celebrate, it’s also an outstanding opportunity for folks in the HOA industry to come together, to share and learn from one another.

Did you know that a recent national survey conducted by the CAI found that the majority of the nation’s estimated 310,000 HOAs are undergoing financial strain? In the survey of more than 1,500 community managers, 54% said their associations face “serious” or “severe” problems as a result of the economic downturn.

If your community is among those faced with foreclosures, declining reserve balances, and plummeting real estate values, the CAI Spring Showcase promises to offer a wealth of answers and information.

Sessions include, "Delinquencies, Foreclosures and Budget Deficits – Oh My!" as well as "60 Questions in 60 Minutes" – an opportunity to get legal advice and information on the latest legislation from the industries leading attorneys.

Even if your HOA is among the lucky few in solid financial shape, you likely face a myriad of questions like: What is the role of the new Division of Regulatory Agencies HOA Information Office? How can you secure a loan for your community? How should an HOA plan for natural disasters like a tornado, flood or hail storm? You can expect answers to these questions and more next Friday.

As a benefit of attending, you’ll also get to walk through the exhibitor hall and enjoy a lunch with other HOA colleagues and professionals.

Most importantly – you don’t need to get up in the middle of the night to watch the Royal Wedding. YES – Winzenburg, Leff, Purvis & Payne has come to your rescue! Stop by our booth in the exhibitor hall to watch footage of the Royal Wedding, to take part in the time honored garter toss (or shall we say “garter shoot”), to enter a drawing for some great prizes and to receive a handout with important legislative updates. We also invite you to wear your favorite top hat or tiara!

WHEN: The event will be held on Friday, April 29 from 7:15 am – 6 pm.

WHERE: Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Lowry.

The address is 7711 East Academy Boulevard, Denver, 80230
